93 gmc 4x4 serria acts like it is running out of gas .	Sign In

have changed fuel filter and found and replaced distributor cause of a crack. now it sputters and makes a popping noise and then runs ok then sputters again and popps and etc. the fuel pressure is good so it's not the fuel pump. it does this intermittently. then runs ok. if i let up on the gas it sorta straightens out and runs right. i need help to get this thing resolved. any ideas? thanks

mine is doing the same thing have u checked your map sensor. i unpluged my map sensor vacum hoes and see if it will start mine does but when i put it in gear it dies.

Hello my 1990 Gmc did basically the same thing I replacwd the cap, rotor and plugs. No difference. Mine was very erratic. Then I changed the plug wires. I couldn't believe the difference.Never seen plug wires be so erratic. Hope it helps.
