I will be driving and I can watch the oil pressure drop when I slow down and then just stalls out. Any ideas of what is going on?

Do jump all over this and find out what's up right away. What may be happening is engine is stalling first and the low RPM is just showing low oil pressure from low RPM and alone be normal.

You should take an oil pressure reading with a guage installed on engine - not just counting on the one on dash. If oil pressure is dropping with adequate RPM or causing the stall this is very serious trouble!

When I have sufficient rpm the oil pressure is fine. I went ahead and changed the oil and filter again just becuase it made me feel better, and my in-laws were in town, and with some investigating I found that I had a bolt missing from the front end of the transfer case, which would explain the lose of oil through the seal. so hopefully the seal is still ok and I just need to get a new bolt in there and see how she does. I will keep you posted. Running much better now though.

That's a bit of a switch on what was first wrong?? No matter - get that bolt and bettery yet change that fluid/oil in the gearcase as you don't really know if something got in there that you don't want.

That doesn't explain the stalling. Know that oil pressure will drop when engine is warmed up especially and idle is low like at a stop but it should be within NORMAL ranges. It would spike up with some RPMs - alone that's not a problem and new oil of proper grade for the truck can only help. If that ceased the stalling issue I'm surprised,

I did a few other things to. Luckily I didn't have to do anything major, just changed the psv valve and checked the rest of the vaccuum system and the egr valve, then the plugs and wires and the electrical system then made sure the my tranny was good. The only problem with the tranny is the whole four wheel drive thing but like I said I am more concerned with getting her going like she should be first.
