I have a 2002 Ford F250 and it's 4x4 always worked fine till this year,I recently had a new V10 engine installed by a Ford dealer and when I tried to put it into 4x4 it wouldn't engage,so I switched back and forth from 2 wheel to low 4 wheel and after a few times it banged in and engaged but I did notice also the light didn't come on till after it engaged,when you try and switch from 2 wheel to low 4x4 just the high 4x4 light comes on.Could having the motor replaced do anything orcould iy be something easy(I hope) any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Lots of stuff gets removed, unplugged, etc., with a motor change. Look for damaged wires or something unplugged at transfer case,
