hello my name is paul, I have a 1999 ford f150 pick up with 100000 miles on it, it has a six cylinder motor 4.1. it runs good but when I stop at a redlight or stop sign it rough idles jumps like its missin, but put it in park and it runs fine. I put new plugs in it and its runnin worse and using more gas now. im thinking plug wires, fuel filter, tranmission fluid and screen change, or maybe something to do with erg, not sure anymore, any advice would be helpful, runs to good to be something serious my email is PAULDEBERDT@COMCAST.NET thanks again

Problems just at idle in gear like that: I'd check for vacuum leaks and at the miles all tune up related items. Code reading may help direct you even if SES light isn't on - yet, T

thanks i had it hooked up to diagnostics when I had the oil changed and it came up recommended tranmission, radiator, rear differential, and fuel injection services ,but thats seems to much of a broad out look on this. where do you think the problem may lie. Im going to change the fuel filter and plug wires as you always have to have gas and fire thanks again

What you got was a sales pitch not a code reading. Go ahead with fuel filter and wires as they are part of good tune and filters often get neglected, T
