1995 FORD F250 Supercab 7.3L V8 DI 160,000 miles (XL/XLT 2D)

This truck has been stored in the driveway of a Southeast TX home since last October (9 months) It has not been started in that time. What advice do you have before we attempt to crank it and drive it for the first time. What maintenance should we do right away?

Thanks for all advice.

Nine months isn't all that long. Get a battery charger and see if the battery is going to be any good. it may need to be replaced now. Get some fresh fuel in it as soon as possible and change the oil. Make sure you check the tire pressure before driving it.

Should we have any concern about it being a diesel , that has gone through all the temperature changes and humdity of the Houston area? I have never owned a diesel.

No concerns, just a little harder to start maybe.

I'm not a diesel tech but have some clue. I think it's a bit more stable than most of the gasoline we buy.

Same as with the Jeep you were considering buying and as HT said, check battery(s) and tires and I'll add beware of brakes till you feel a good pedal after a long rest like that,
