have a 110 quad and it seems to not be getting any spark to the plug. could you give me some troubleshooting ideas.

I just bought a 110 quad at a yard sale and now it wont fire. it turns over but will not start. no arc will come from spark plug when still inside the plug. I need some troubleshooting ideas. where is the kill switch on these>
