Anybody got any idea how hard it is to put a heater radiator in a 1991 dodge caravan ? I know the dash has to be pulled, which I am guessing is a MOJOR job that I do not want to undertake. Anyone know of a small underdash unit that is not too expensive (if they exist) I know the old jeeps had a one piece unit but they are like hens teeth. This is my work vehicle so it aint got to be pretty.just cheap as i just started working after being unemployed almst a year. Thanks

I take it the existing heater core is a problem and you just want heat - right? Ya- the core is a total PITA to replace but it really is the way to go. That allows for defogging, defrosting that at least in the cold climates would render the vehicle undrivable in some conditions.

What would be cheap and helpful but not great is an electric heater that plugs into power port/cigarette lighter. They are not too powerful but might get you by till you can do this properly. They do make one like a blow dryer for hair that you can place on dash pointing at windshield to deice it. Had one once and it's of marginal help but better than nothing,
