Was into all of that once. Spent as much time in a bilge as I have under a hood. Been thru two life treatening rough seas which causes quick thinking.

My experience is in RI and the islands of Mass. Was shocked to pay $600 bucks for fuel when it was cheap!! That was Nantucket, MA. If you have to ask you can't afford anything!!

We got caught in a wicked rough sea and turned around for safer ports. One engine wouldn't start when things were clear agairn. Funny but good - never went anywhere without my trusty tool box. Got that engine going!!

Funny II , went on a sail boat for the first time in Rockland, ME. Good size boat. I'm a power boater so I was shocked and almost passed out when the captain shut off the engine that got us out of the harbor!! The quiet was deafening. Just not used to it. Wicked neat though.

Completely out of it now. I can always do the charters or whale watches and that's enough for me now. I spent enough time keeping boats running for a lifetime!

Just a new topic to enjoy, T
