I have a 2000 Nissan Sentra. Automatic with 145000 miles on it. Last week the overdrive off light started flashing on and off. I took it to a repair shop he said to take it to a transmission shop with out looking at it. I did . The transmission shop said I needed a new transmission. I wanted a second opinion so I took it to another transmission shop he kept it for two days checking it and said no codes came up and he didn't think it was the transmission, so I then took it to the Nissan Dealership they drove it said the overdrive off light didn't flash and no codes were store he said maybe a transmission flush for $229.00 might fix it , but wasn't sure. I made an appt for next week for the flush, drove the car home and to the store and the overdrive off light is flashing again. Can anyone suggest what I should do, I don't have 2550.00 right now for a new transmission, especially if I really don't need one. All help and advice is Gratefully Appreciated!!!
