I want to know if tipping the person that helped you with a problem on your car is possible. I think the people on this site are very kind to give the time to help others with car issues.I appreciate it !

Appreciate the thought. All regulars are volunteers willingly. Glad you have been helped either directly or just reading some threads for ideas.

That is really your decision. Mechanics normally don't get tipped, but it does happen once in a while. I guess if you feel that your mechanic went above and beyond the call of duty repairing your vehicle, you can show your appreciation in that way.
Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

You're the first person to ever bring up that idea. We do this for free and to help others that need it. I don't see an easy way to exchange money with us and as it is thats not why we are here. I don't know what you do for a living, but you may run across someone who is in a bind and needs a hand that uses your skillsets. Give that person a hand if you think they aren't just trying to scam you. I think this country and this world would be a lot better place if people could just help each other out once in a while, especially a complete stranger.

Exactly, I am a newbie here & i read some interesting moreover helping posts from different user's, and now i think i will get some suggestions too when I would be having some probs with my car.

Appreciate the enthusiasm and we're here to help, but being new you haven't had a chance to read the forum rules yet. Please don't post to threads that haven't had any activity in weeks. Whenever someone posts to a thread it sends an e-mail notification to the inbox of anyone who has ever posted to it. Can get annoying for people. I know you didn't realize that. Please go ahead and read the forum rules, which are posted at the top in each category, and let us know when you need assistance with your car problems.
No need to reply back to this, it would simply create another e-mail notice to half a dozen people.
