Didn't show for me. Not sure just a pic of an odometer is going to identify it anyway if some logo or name isn't on it now. Example........

Even that as a whole unit doesn't tell me what it is from. This is detective work. The one shown if you can see it has three red marks (I II III) which tell me it was when to shift a 3 speed standard shift car in "miles @ MPH only" Still no clue what it's from?

Is this just curiosity or do you think it's something to sell? It will still be difficult to know exactly what it was installed in without more info or the remains of a vehicle it came from,

Mainly curiosity :) And you never know it might b the last thing someone needs to restore their old beautiful car :) there were no old cars on the property I wouldn't have a clue about what it came out of Im not looking for an exact answer just the make of car or approx year any small things I can work out... I can't even find anything of similar looks on the net... Want to solve my small mystery :)

We don't allow links in general but one of several that you could use to show other pictures of it to maybe match up is.........

http://images.google.com/...vclient&ie=UTF-8

Just put in the search that is an Old, or Antique car odometer and a zillion pictures will show up. If you can target a decade then close in on just those. Than guess on the car maker and so on and bet you'll find it that way. That's all I'm doing from this end.

First clue is you said it showed "GEN" so think mostly 1950s or some 1960s cars/trucks. GM for example still used a light that said "GEN" up to at least 1972 but only alternators were used. Either word would still mean something about a charging system as in some warning light??
