The tank is held in by screws and has to be removed from the trunk. The top of the tank is actually the bottom of the trunk floor. The sending unit is toward the front of the car and next to the muffler. The muffler runs cross wise in front of the tank. There is a little room between them, but not sure there is enough. Would like to do the job without removing the tank if possible. Folks used to drill things they wanted to mount in the truck and were in for a surprise!
