I have a2003 ford focus with the spi engine and an automatic transmission, that needs a new block. I found a 2001 spi for sale that had come with a manual transmission but it has no trans.now. Could you tell me which parts are interchangeable .or if its eaiser ,which are not? i need to know mostly about the engine , body , and computer/electric components. If i wanted to put my a/t on the 01 instead of repairing mine , What all would have to be done? How practical is this option ? If you have any tips that would help me on this like , what i need to be sure about before i buy the 01, What other alterations will have to be to my 03 in order to use the block?any? I appreciate your time

forget it . the cranks are balanced differently for auto and manual.
