If the bleeder is broken on the slave and you can't get it out, then you have to replace the slave also. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

I know why you don't want to change it and looking for alternatives. It's concentric, so you have to pull the transmission to get it out. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

A itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow poka dot ez out might get it, if it's not too rusted. Of course you would have to find a new bleeder valve for it....Which actually shouldn't be to hard, any shop that does clutchs should have an old one laying around....... You'd have to be nuts to put a new clutch in Ford without putting in new slave to go with it....

Well like DS said, the tranny would have to come out to replace it. An EZ out would be a long shot but drilling would be out of the question... Kind of a bad deal & there aren't too many good outs on this one.

These things are hard enough to bleed when they do have bleeders.

It might have had enough room to reach it from the top, personally I don't like climbing into engine compartments unless I have to but if there is air in the system, the only way to get it out is via the slave bleeder. I've seen guys crack hose connections to slaves on external ones before with broken bleeders with limited success

Well if the master went low, then there is a leak.....somewhere. Which would have to be tracked down.... With air in the system, you won't get it out unless you bleed the slave.....No way around that.... Not all the pumping in the world is gonna do that........The only way it would come close is if the slave is the one leaking, then you might get lucky and have some of the air seep out of the leak but you will never get a good pedal until its properly bleed..... It's the lowest point in the system & the end of the hydraulic road.......gotta bleed it there.....

Since air rises, it's always possible that the air will migrate back to the master and work it's way out just through normal pumping of the pedal. Other than just hoping for the best, you are pulling the transmission out.
