hi i am wondering if a short shifter would increase speed or anything like that on my 03 s10 extreme.really i dont know what it is so if u can help that'll be great thanks

That would be a yes & no......

Technically.....no. A short shifter is just that. A shorter shifter. It's designed to be able to shift faster. Being able to shifter faster you would be able to drop a little bit of time and in the 1/4 every little bit helps but I don't think that is what you were asking.....

The yes part would be....At your age.... a lot of this stuff definitely makes it seem to go faster & there's nothing wrong with that..........I think at one point or another all us have chromed out an motor or gone a little nuts with other accessories and while this does nothing for performance...... It sure seemed like it did at the time.........

I've had good luck with Summit Racing. You can got to the website at www.summitracing.com or call them at 1-800-230-3030. Done a fair amount of business with them in the past and was pleased with the results.
