can anyone help have changed steering colume in a ford fiesta 94 now the ignition key won't work

Did you change the lock cylinder when you changed the steering column? Does the key turn, or does it not turn? Do you have the rod to the switch hooked to the ignition cylinder?
Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds
