nothing is confirmed or even close to it. It's just an idea that just got started over the weekend. I been in the automotive repair industry for a long time, from being a tech moving up to running a 6 bay shop myself. now unemployed for 6 months and when your unemployed that long you start to think of options. i wanted to put out some info that i had in my head and see if you guys can add to the expense start up list.
looking at a small place, 2 or 3 bays.
depends on the place, it can possibly come with some stuff below.
rent
lifts
tire machine, valve stem and all accessories
balance machine with wheel weights.
tire spreader
brake lathe
alignments will be subbed out
scanner
press machine
shop table with vise
parts cleaner
misc equipment like oil drain catcher
trans jack
engine hoist
machines, coolant, p/s and trans
computer to run repair software
computer to run customer write ups
small showroom but chairs, counter, decorating stuff, etc..
inventory parts will only be air filters, oil filters and oil. all other will be delivered at time of needs
insurance
mechanics
biz license
any other ideas?
