I am planning to drive from WI to CA this January. Could I please have some advice as to whether my 2001 toyota, corolla CE will be ok driving through the mountains? My car is front wheel drive. Thanks

You want to be prepared for crossing the Rockies. I'd suggest studded snow tires, front and rear. And, carry chains, just in case. (along with all the usual winter travel emergency kit). The front wheel drive Toyota is very capable of making a winter trip..it's the driver that's really the key. Have a safe and enjoyable trip.
