Hello!!!

The weather is amaaaaaazin! Im a big fan despite the bumbles......... HOWEVER...... was going a liiiiitttlllleeee bit too fast yesterday and pretty sure I got clocked by a speed camera.... Just been looking at some of these speed camera detectors on the internet becauase ive already got 3 pts on the license and dont really want any more or ill be with out a car soon enough. My mate swears by his Novus Alpa. Novus do a complete range of products. If you have a look on here they've pretty much got the whole product line: http: (link removed)

You don't need any device the car doesn't already have. They are the throttle and the brake. If you aren't going too fast then there isn't a problem. You already have THREE against you! Where I am you would save a ton as your license would be revoked and registrations in your name pulled - problem solved,

Re: Speed Camera Advise Sign In

I don't like the "Big Brother" thing totally but most of what is advancing in technology is plate recognition for stolen, vehicles seen in a crime, and more just driving thru parking lots if the # matches a list then they have the car. For that it's a good thing. So far for tickets the registered owner (they can't charge the driver) can get a ticket or fine for assorted moving violations or not paying a toll but so far doesn't go against a specific driver as it really doesn't know that.

As much as sometimes it feels like it, truth is we are sharing public roads and to use them is a privilege NOT a right! Guess it comes with age - I don't want to be hit or hurt by someone (the driver) with a long list of violations, no insurance etc. If you don't like the rules just don't drive..........

Re: Speed Camera Advise Sign In

I totaly agree about the speed/red lite camera being used for issueing tickets to registered owner. many families have cars with multiple drivers or a college kid using the second car in household thats still in parents name till kid gets credit established. Or a good samaritin loans a friend a car for whatever reason. .When a infraction is photo'ed a warning shold be sent to the owner .If there is mutiple infractions then a officer should contact the owner. That is what they get paid to do . If I got a photo ticket and was not the driver I would want to use my right to cross examine my accuser. I dont think they have the cameras talking YET.
