Selling car? Sign In

Hi all I am new here and hope that I am posting in the right area.

I currently own a Citroen C2 1.4 HDi SX in black. I have been having some problems with it lately and am looking to sell or px as it is not reliable for me to get to work and I don't have the time to get things fixed.

The car is in very good overall condition. However there is a slight dent on the bumper and some nitwit decided to leave a lovely scratch down one side of it, deliberate I assume.

I don't really know how to go about selling this car. I was wondering about having the scratch and dent repaired in order to sell it on or leave it and sell it as it is at a reduced price.

There is also the option of PX but not sure what I will be offered considering the scratch and dent.

Any help would be great!

Thanks :)

I don't suggest fixing much in a car that runs to sell it. Just have it cleaned up as much as you can. Deduct some reasonable amount and let a new owner decide what to do about it. Market it with local advertising for your area either on the web or in papers or both. State what you know it needs as that just saves wasted time to you and potential buyers.

Your insurance may be of help to know exactly what to do and what papers you need to do this or know where to go to get or print them off some site.

Many people who don't have time for this game will choose to just trade it for something that suits you at a dealer to save the hassles but if used I still suggest having a vehicle checked out on your money before you buy, by a disinterested shop or mechanic that you choose.

All the rules for buying and selling are going to be local. Here in US it varies greatly state by state,

T
