Put new wheel cyclinder and ignition switch on. car runs great, but the needle to tell if car is in p,n,d, d,1 is stuck over on the 1. How can i fix this? was it something i did when i changed the ignition switch?

Probably, did you drop the column for any reason?

There is a cable that operates that as the column rotates.

Hopefully the cable was disconnected from the column arm or else the cable assembly is damaged.

Your probably going to need one of these or the one that is similar looking to this one:

No I didn't drop the column, didn't have to remove it. but i am going to remove dash and look for cable that may have come loose as suggested by someone else. Thanks for your answer.
