I need help, Not car - litterate

I was recently given a piece, a 1990 4dr Dodge Shadow after my jeep was
confirmed to be hopeless.
Upon trying to start the heep, it wouldn't turn over.. Click, or anything. My
sister whom gave it to me said it was the battery. I'm not sure if that is the
main issue, but the battery was tested and is pretty much dead. The car can
run if jumped. But it's a hop skip and a jump to keep it running while driving,
obviously not a safe or smart thing to do if you want to keep your job.
I was told that they're two different types of batteries for this vehicle, and I
needed to know what kind it was. I know a few people who can get a battery
that would work. I've tried calling places like Napa, etc. But they have a brand
their own. So it really doesn't help me too much.
So to get to the point, does anyone know what type of battery will make the
red go cart from hell work? I would really apperciate it. Thank you tons.

Battery applications are categorized by a uniform system called a "group size". Regardless of the brand, they all uses this system.
Yours takes a group #34 so regardless of the brand, ask for a group 34 battery. They will have different levels of quality within that group and the higher the quality, the more reserve power the battery will have. Don't go for the cheapest because it will just have a shorter life.

So I get a battery for it, it starts working. While driving it to my home, the break pedal goes right to the floor. This car is hopeless.

I'm afraid there's no connection to the battery there. Your just going to have to get the brakes checked. Most shops don't charge for that.
