High mount brake light Sign In

Trying to get a roadworthy on our Captiva and the high mount brake light is faint so not passing. Holden have quoted $279!!! Any handy tips on a quick/cheapfix or where to get a cheaper option?
Thanks :)

! I don't think it's well diagnosed yet to replace the whole unit there should be bulbs inside to check or what the problem is if working just not bright enough. Is it physically damaged that you can see?
Not familiar with this car if a "Holden" definitely not but some used high power halogen bulbs some could use lesser up to now LED a tech should know the options but if damaged by heat of bulbs that's it's own problem and might be?

Yeah LED, 2012 Holden Captiva
Because it's LED I think we have to replace the whole thing?
Sucks they're so expensive. Ebay has them for $80 but time is not on my side for international shipping unfortunately!
