It's really just an engine done in a circle. That has been done in aircraft since the beginning of aviation. We have in line engines, V engines, flat engine and the piston-less rotory engine now which failed because of fuel efficiency and emissions difficulty. Two strokes pullute and are inefficient except they weigh less. Each idea is great for a specific purpose but none has proven as versitile as what layouts we're using now for automotives. Let's not allow that to stop folks from thinking though! T
