Desperately need help on dana 35 repair!!! Login - Sign Up

We are trying to repair a dana 35 differential(front) on a 94 jeep grand cherokee 4 wheel drive with a 5.2 liter V8. The pinion bearings went bad and went through a bunch of crap trying to get the correct parts, after 6 trips to napa we finally got the correct parts, now we face another delimma! When placing the race into the rear side of the differential and pushing the bearings, crush sleeve, seals and washer there is no room left to place the yoke and catch the nut onto the bolt. I've been told to put the new parts in and place the yoke on and beat it in or use a socket and a hammer and beat it in. After 5 straight hours of beating it still won't budge. Without room to put the nut on the bolt it is impossible to try to torque these parts back! If anyone has ANY suggestions and I mean ANY, I am willing to try. Please Help!!!
