My brother-in-law has a 1997 Ford 150 4x4. There was a recall on a piece that was causing fires in the cruise control. He had the piece replaced but now the cruise control does not work. It was not working when he bought the truck because the piece had been taken out while he was waiting for the dealership to get the piece in stock. Has anyone else has this problem. I have been told that the vacume pull off might be bad but we can't find it. Any advice would be appreciated.

?? Who took the part out when? If the dealer removed this part from a working system to sell it then why didn't they check that it worked when replaced?
Check fuse for it for now,
