Can anyone identify this thermostat housing? (pic inside)

I have a "kit" car that is using some sort of v8 GM engine from the 90's (I bought it from someone who bought it from someone else - so no info on all of the parts) however I cannot seem to find even a picture of this particular thermostat housing (see pic below) anywhere on the internet. It looks very unique.
I want to take it off to check the thermostat but it will probably brake the gasket so want to find out what type it is first so I can purchase the correct gasket.
If anyone has any ideas, much appreciation. Thanks.

What engine does the car have?
How about a wider shot of the engine?
It would be quite easy to get some gasket paper and make your own gasket.

I will try to get another pic soon.
The engine (and car) is a complete "Frankenstien" made up using different parts from everywhere.
All I know is its a V8 and has GM embossed on the engine.
I thought about using a high temp RTV gasket maker - but thought I would at least check here first since it was so strange to see hundreds of pics on line of thermostat housings but none of them matched mine... is it really that rare? lol!

The engine has to be identifiable. It has to have started with an actual factory engine.
I wouldn't use ONLY RTV. Get some gasket paper to cut out first. You can add a little silicone to that if you want.

That's a Thermostat Housing " Block Off Plate"
You can google Thermostat block off plate and also google SBC (Small Block Chevy) Manifold water neck- They even come with a bolt on filler neck

Strong guess it's a Chevrolet, small block. Even big blocks used the same gasket common as all get out.
Suggestions for a gasket it just go buy one instantly in stock then use gasket maker (by Permatex) rated for heat and tolerance just smear it both sides, let dry to the touch.
It will come apart another time intact no more scraping.
Just using "gasket maker" possibly just me I don't trust the stuff if thicker what it spits out inside cause a problem you didn't have then near impossible to get that out,

Great! Thank you for the replies everyone. Now I see why i couldnt find it... I wasn't searching for "waterneck or blockoff plate"
Do you guys think this one would work OK?
I will probably just try to use the gaskets so I dont have to replace the whole thing.
Also, is there a reason they used a water neck vs just a standard thermostat housing?
Also, I just want to check the thermostat so I am guessing its in there below the waterneck, correct?
