2.2 engine has a/c also has two fans. when is the second fan supposed to kick on? air conditioning has been disconnected. any thoughts??

One of the fans will come on and go off with engine temp. The other should run when the A/C is turned on, which in theory, is the only time it should be needed. Keep an eye on the engine temp, just to be sure.
