Just bought a new car any required maitenence?
|

I just recently bought a newer 2005 Hyundai accent gls hatchback, it's a really nice car but didn't really buy it from a dealer per say, they sell used cars at decent prices and I've taken it for a 24 hour test drive it runs great surprisingly but then again I've noticed Hyundai's have a terrible re-sale value, so before it gets given to me, (I've already paid for it), they have replaced the timing belt, tensioners, and the brakes, but knowing it's been sitting for a little while I wouldn't mind tuning it up, I know I should probably get spark plugs and maybe do everything? I like to take care of my cars to the utmost. I'm just looking for good advice, I already bought new tires and they're snows but up here in Vermont winter sometimes comes early, they're general altimax artics and I'll make sure to rotate these since I was a little over on my old car and it was so out of balance I literally felt I was going deep sea fishing going around 10-30 mph but it'd get smoother at highway speeds. Sorry I'm rambling, I'd appreciate the responses everyone!

You are just approaching the mileage that you would be changing plugs and wires so it probably wouldn't be a bad idea. You may not get them to do it but it might be a good idea to do an upper intake and throttle body cleaning too. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

I appreciate it, I'll take note of your advice and actually call them later to have that done, like I said any amount of reasonable money is worth having a car without as many problems as my old escort, thank you!
