Before she heads to college

My daughter is headed to college this fall. Can anyone recommend what I should ask our service station to look at during a check up? Which fluids to flush, injectors to clean, belts to check/replace, etc.? Thank you.

I would simply tell the tech the car is headed away for a time and to check and do whatever is seen fit as a preventive measure. Oil change and any filters, tire pressure including spare. Spare things to have in trunk or aboard. It's not always easy but show anyone younger or whatever how to change a tire and make sure cheap junk jacks work. Any vehicle has clear instructions on how to do this and if uncertain have the shop show both of you. It start with being on the right surface and where to place jack. Flushing things and injector anything let the tech decide. All things, wiper blades, spare washer fluid right down the list of common things. Know how to check oil and antifreeze at least would be on my list. Ya - this could cost some money to just say things are good or find things you didn't know were going - brakes and more. Good for you for thinking ahead, T

Spare tire is important! It'll help her not to be stuck somewhere in case she gets flat tires.
