SUMMARY: Besides just looking tacky, a burnt out headlight bulb on your car isn’t safe. Believe it or not, automobile makers put those there for a reason. So if you have already had a conversation with Mr. Patrolman or want to avoid one, light bulb and lamp maintenance is a necessity.

Lots of luxury model cars, minivans, and wagons have access to the headlight housing through the trunk.

I think most people use the term "headlight" to mean the bright white light in the front of the vehicle, and "trunk" to mean a storage area at the rear of the vehicle. In that context, this article is nonsense

Quote: "With the exception of a headlight bulb, it is a good idea to coat the bulb’s exterior socket and any contacts with a layer of grease product."

Why is a headlight bulb an exception?

True - you can and should grease ordinary bulbs and sealed beam connection can have grease but not the halogen ones - if fact don't even touch the glass with you hands - use clean paper. They get "white" hot and grease can make them blow or other issues,

Discovered this device that really prevents accidents and saves lives.
Many people attempt to log long hours behind the wheel by drinking coffee or taking stimulants, the distances between pit stops can sometimes be long. If you are too tired to drive, you shouldn’t try to prop yourself up with chemicals, you should pull off the road and take a nap.

The paradox becomes, if you are growing too tired to notice what is happening around you, how will you be able to catch yourself falling asleep in time to prevent tragedy? TheAlertMaster is a product designed to keep watch over you and make sure you don’t end up on the wrong side of a statistical column.

The Alert Master fits around the ear of the driver. It is small and lightweight, and you probably won’t even notice you have it on. Although innocuous, this tiny device contains a sensor that detects head movement. If your head starts to pitch forward, it gives a strong vibration to instantly arouse you to be alert.

You can easily set the angle at which you want the device to spring into action, allowing you to decide how vigilant you wish the Drive Alert Master to be.

With a device such as this, instead of trying to mask your fatigue, you can be kept awake in a moment of drowsiness and be alerted to the fact that you should park the car and get some rest. Safety begin with awareness, and The Alert Master is an excellent companion for long solo drives.
