Regarding avoiding tire blowouts, there is another extremely important thing to do: weigh your rig and make sure you are not exceeding the tires' load ratings FOR THE MAXIMUM SPEED AT WHICH YOU WILL BE TRAVELING. If you are overweight, off-load some stuff to get down to a safe travel weight.
