which is the best overall transmission and why? 350, 400, or 700r4 overdrive? why?

Muncie SM420 or SM465? I don't know much about others really. My SM465 is nothing short of amazing. 30 years of severe abuse in a rusty '78 4wd drive pickup and it is still in perfect working condition. They are Manual 4 speed transmissions with granny low in the 1rst gear position. I cant imagine they would be good for anything else really.. other than trucks or heavy equipment.
