well i have a 2001 chev cavalier 2.4 liter showed code p-0480 fan malfunction changed the relay under the hood and cleared the codes the light came right back on when i started it up. now what do i do???????? thanks

Have you checked to see if the fan is actually coming on when the request by the ECM is made? I would start there.

Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds

P0480 is a fan always on code ,if it is on always remove relay for cooling fan if it stays on you have a problem with your wiring ,if it goes off replace your relay .
But let us know what is happening with the fans could be other things like coolant sensor we need more info to help .....Indy Tech
