1967 Bedford CA Dormobile Debonaire. UK
1.4 l (?)
250,000 miles

Sudden very lumpy running, missing, won't idle, stops on low revs.

Changed HT leads, reset, filed and cleaned points. Still the same!

Is there a likely coil or condenser problem?

This is a positive earth vehicle. Do coils and condensers come specifically for Positive earth vehicles or are they the same as for negative earth ones?

Could it be something else like a bad earth to engine or fuel?

Appreciate your input from the other side of the pond.

Just so you know what this beauty looks like. You've gotta love this. This was "American Styling" in the 60's UK.

I read through a few posts and I will check a possible blocked fuel cap, although it runs and runs as long as you are blipping the throttle to keep the revs. up.
