have a 2004 ford ranger 4x4xlt,need new brakes. normal usage only , what kind of brake pads would you reccomend

That is a question that will get many different answers. We have had really good luck with Raybestos or Wagner for aftermarket pads. You have a range of prices in each brand so you can decide which style you want. Good luck.

Just as W2O said you could get a lot of different answers to that. I like most Bendix, Centric but have had good luck with many off brands. Look at them on the counter. Some just look for finished, painted and brasses to help with rust and so forth and are usually the longer lasting better quality. They will all stop - some just are more subject to rust, cracks and noise IMO,
