If you have a car that's already in good shape and take care of it yourself, a wicked time and frustration saver is to apply some rubber friendly silicone grease on brake line flare nuts when rotating tires. I like to put some in a cup and put in on with a flux brush. This works great for all flare nuts in tubing, gas lines to a fuel filter, auto trans lines to a radiator, PS lines etc. A little goes a long way and don't put it on any friction area. Also a little on the hubs (NOT lug nut threads) will make removing all these parts sometime later a joy as to fighting with even minor corrosion which can twist up lines taking much more time to replace than a little dab of this stuff now. I do this to every car I touch! Happy Motoring,
