Easy lug stud installer Login - Sign Up

When installing lug studs, it's a pain to do with the tire on (so that the lug nut has a proper seat). I recently decided to use a nylon insert lock nut, large enough to slide freely over the stud. Place the stud through the hub, slide the lock nut over the stud with the nylon facing outwards, start the lug nut onto the stud. While holding the stud on the back of the hub with one hand, tighten the lug nut with the other. A 3/8" impact wrench should do the trick without any damage to the hub.
