transmission problems

I have a 2001 Kia Spectra. it has about 80,000 miles on it, At first I would have ti jiggle and play with the gear shift for it to go into reverse. did this for about 4 month. Now I cannot get it to go into reverse at all. Although I can feel it go into reverse when I am backing up going down hill...Any Suggesions

Does it have any trouble going into park or any other gear postition? Does the shifter feel sloppy at all?
