transmission problem Sign In

2002 Ford Ranger xlt
3.0 Automatic Trans.
80,000 miles

my problem started when my truck would disengage the overdrive while i was driving then the overdrive warning light would come on and would blink. if i shut the truck off and started it again it would be back in over drive with no warning light. this problem would'nt happen very often. then my gear shifts were starting to get weird. in the first 15-25mph of excelleration the rpm gauge would read up into the 5000rpm before it would shift and then when it did shift it would shift kind of hard. well very soon after that i started having more issues with the shifting. My truck will drive. But I parked head first into a parking spot were in front of me is a wall so i cannot pull forward. Well when i tried to leave my spot it wont engage into reverse and so I tried putting it into Neutral thinking I could push it out away from the wall into the street and then drive it forward to my garage but it wont let me do that, there is a wheel lock or something. I don't know what to do, and I don't know what my issues are. I do know that I need to get it out of the wheel lock so I can move the truck. after that I will most likely take it to a trasmission shop. I am thinking it could be the transmission but it could also be the tourqe converter and also maybe the differential.

How do i unlock my wheels ?
