Help!!!! 95 chev lumina 3.1L with over 200,000 miles. Transmission changed last year-- running great. Last week the gear shift became disengaged and the car would not move. You can move the selector thru all the gears and back into park but it does not engage into a gear. Gear shift is loose and moves easy-- just doesn't do anything.

A maybe for the moment - Check underhood while someone shifts it and see if there's something disconnected in view to put back on - if so no doubt needs a fastener/clip that's now missing,
