when my car is in idle its revving the engine even when im not touchin the gas pedal,then when i try to drive it revs high goes fast then jerks abit then it goes slow.is that understandable?thanks its a 1998 chrysler concrode,i have not tried anything waiting for help

That sounds more like an idle surging than a transmission issue. Get the codes read and post them here. I need exact code numbers, not some generic description. Most parts stores will do this for free.
