95 GMC 1500 z71 4x4 5.7L 150,000m
Once Im on the highway and the transmission locks in O/D. If I try to pass someone and step on the gas I get a clunk noise and the trans doesn't unlock, it will stay locked up so its hard to get it to speed up. If I give it more gas it just goes clunk again and stays locked in o/d. Once I come up to my exit and slow down I get no noise and it down shifts fine. If I drive around town (40mph) I never have a problem, and shifts fine through all four gears. I haven't felt any slipping that I know of. I just wondering if I'm losing my O/D or if it could possibly be a soleniod. Any help would be appretiated, or any tips if you have had this occur. Thanks.
