lost 5th and reverse gears in manual tranny

Hi fellers
I have a 1994 mazda b230o pickup.
last week i parked it and the next morning when i went to shift it into 5th. gear it wouldn't go. There was no grinding or other noises. It was like it was never there in the first place. The stick will move over to that spot but is blocked or something. Maybe the linkage fell off? reverse is blocked also so i guess there connected?

Very strange that this issue showed up after the vehicle sat. Can you shift into reverse and 5th with the engine not running?
If you can't, your going to have to remove the shifter assembly from the top of the transmission and do a visual inspection to see what failed.
