Retrace your work and see if you damaged or left something disconnected.

If everything looks ok, you should take it to a shop that has a high end scan tool that can access the transmission control module and see what codes it is storing.

The battery cable from the starter to the battery isn't fused, so all it would do is make a bunch of sparks. It shouldn't have caused your problem unless you grounded it onto a an electrical device that has a chassis ground internally.

Re: ansmmisson Sign In

You should do a visual inspection of the vehicle speed sensor, its connector, and the wiring harness. 80% you can find what is wrong by just doing a visual inspection.

The sensor is located on the front of transmission near the shift solenoid pack. The sensor has light green/white and dark blue/black wires.
