Transmission rebuild

How long should a rebuilt transmission last? Mine has gone out after only 16,000 miles and I would have expected it to last longer. I have heard they should go 100k but I don't know. Thanks.

Generally a lot longer than that!! It certainly depends on the quality of the rebuild and the way it was driven, T
