After clearing codes P0890 and P0562 system voltage low are the 2 codes that came back. Another mechanic says it may not be reading the shift monitor or letters.when you put in gear on the dash PRND that is read by the computer

Do you have access to a scan tool that shows live data? are all the squares lit up on the PRNDL ? is this always in failsafe? after you clear the codes, they come right back?

Codes have not come back but Sometimes all squares are lit up like PRND12 and sometimes just the gear you are in thats when trans acts up when all are on.

Hello,
If those squares are lit up, there may be a code present, when they are all lit up, the trans is in failsafe, do you have a scan tool?

Re: Transmission problems Sign In

Your generic code reader is not capable of reading TCM codes. That would require a professional level scan tool.
