When I drive the vehicle two lights come on. One is the service engine soon and the other is Reduced Power. When this happens (doesn't happen all the time) the rpm's almost double. When I take it in to the service tech. they tell me there's nothing wrong or they tell me that the trans needs to be replaced. If the trans is bad wouldn't this happen all the time? I've changed the TCM at a cost of $700.00. Problem is still there. Now they want to change out the valve body and sensors. I would make sense that it needs replacing.Thats the same reason for the reduced power. You need to find out what trouble code(s) are being stored. Write down the trouble code numbers.
