2006 Kia Spectra, getting ecu code p765 shift control solenoid valve D overdrive solenoid. I have researched
That the wiring harness has bad solder joints because it was made in China. I can reset the computer in the car will drive fine for a while. If it was a bad solder joint I would have this problem even after resetting the OBD computer is this correct or could it just be the shift solenoid?

I'll trust your research of a common problem to a connection that was poorly soldered. Since somewhere you found that why didn't it say where? The circuit is setting a code if you feel it's a poor connection (may very well be) the hunt is to find where.

For lack of other info would be looking at exposed wiring possibly at a plug and just pull see if it falls out or unplugged looks terrible that's probably it.
Grease (electric grease) connections anywhere that are subject to harsh exposure at the plugs,

The internal harness go bad on this unit, there are 2 parts to the internal harness. You have to remove the valvebody to install the new harness. The solenoids are sold as a block so they would all have to be replaced, the parts from the dealer are not that bad cost wise. The car will drive fine until the computer see's the problem again.
