Sign In My automatic Honda Civic was accidentally driven at freeway speeds on the lowest gear. It was driven at 6000-7000 RPM (borderline red zone) for 10-15 minutes. Does this translate into damage to the engine or transmission? Thanks for any help! Sign In It sure as hell isn't good for the car but Honda's are generally strong so they can handle occasional mistakes like the one you described.
